Long Time Since I Last Blogged

It has been way to long since I last updated my blog with what has been going on with Desert Glamour and new pictures. Desert Glamour has been lucky to be part of many weddings and photo shoots lately with amazing brides and photographers. We have also been very busy every week building a solid clientele of eyelash extension clients which is VERY exciting.

In addition to weddings I have been lucky enough to do makeup for the Playboy Club Calendar. I worked with photographer Joe Fury and Miss November Sara Hennessey.

I also did a hair and makeup for a company called Seed Capital that is coming out with the Heeldini which will be found is Walgreens. It was a great commercial shoot experience.

Hard Rock Shoot

I did a shoot a few weeks back at the Hard Rock Hotel and was able to work with a model/pop singer Liv Jones with Candy Girls featured on an E Entertainment show and Karim with 007 Photos. This was a fun edgy shoot that I did makeup for. The photos turned out great in black and white. Enjoy!

Wilhemina Hot Body Model Search 2010 at Olympia Convention

I was a makeup artist for the Wilhemina Hot Body Model Search 2010 at the Olympia convention last Saturday. I had the opportunity to work with two great photographers Joe Fury and D'Shey Mac'Carthy  as well as another makeup artist Angie Lum. It was so much fun and I got work with so many awesome fitness models. Here are a few photos from the event.

This week I did makeup and hair for a filming of a informative series on Alzheimer's Awareness for a local nursing home company. It was a fun day of makeup and hair and I got to meet some great PR people from the company that hired me. When I get the footage I will post it on the blog. 

Eyelash Extension Photos

Here are a few more photos from the eyelash extension models I did this week. It is so crazy how natural and substantially different you can change your appearance by adding eyelash extensions and you don't have to hassle with heavy mascara or much of any to look like you have done your makeup, its amazing! Tattoo Covering and Recent Boxing Shoot for Hunter Newbury

I recently did a shoot for a company called Hunter Newbury LLC. They recently came up with a boxing training product called the Perfect Punch. I did the hair and makeup for the models both men and women in the shoot. Here are a few photos from the shoot. I was able to cover two shoulder and back tattoos on one of the models and it turned out very well.

I am now a certified Eyelash Extension specialist by Lavish Lashes © http://www.lavishlashes.com/ . They are one of the leaders in eyelash extension products and training. I went through their basic and advanced training courses and will be using their products to do my lash extensions. Newest photos...

I finally got a few photos back that I can post...Wahoo! Its like xmas when you get that email back from a photographer that has the proofs. I find it so interesting how I do the make up and hair and the models are typically in their regular clothes and I leave a shoot wondering how the photos will turn out. Then when I see the photos from the shoot I am blown away how the models are transformed. So the first few pictures are from a wedding I did in Seattle a month ago before I came to Vegas...the other photos are some taken at the MAGIC convention at the Hilton for Kalyx, an "eco-loving apparel for active women". The model I worked with was Laura Schnieder and she was awesome so much fun to work with. I was lucky enough to meet the owner of the company Kimberly Cayce and the clothes were adorable. Busy week of makeup and hair

I have had the craziest week of doing hair and makeup. First I did a biker inspired shoot with the guys at Brooks Studios Garrett, JB and our model was Mariah. Here is a photo from that shoot....






That shoot was fun and funky. I am excited to see how the pictures turned out when I get them back.






I have been doing makeup for a model for the Magic Convention this week that is in Vegas. She is modeling for a sports apparel company that had a booth at Magic. I will be getting shots from that so I will post those when I get them.

Today I also had a shoot at the Hard Rock Hotel with a LA photographer and a group of models from LA and local to Las Vegas. The look was american apparel with a urban vibe. The looks I did on the girls turned out soooo well I can't wait to see the picts.
